Syifa Fauziyah Dermawan, or who is often called Syifa, a Public Relations student class of 2020, was elected Chair of the BEM Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University in 2023. The Student Executive Body or commonly known as BEM is a student organization that accommodates students to channel their interests, talents and creative ideas through the work programs in it. Syifa has been interested in the world of organizations since she was in junior high school. With her organizational experience while at BEM Kema, Padjadjaran University in 2020, Syifa received a lot of new things that she learned. There Syifa learned to network with BEM heads in each faculty, so she was encouraged to take on the role of Head of BEM Fikom by pouring out meaningful ideas and dreams for the benefit of Fikom in the future.
“The thing that made me brave to advance to BEM Fikom was because I focused on seeing opportunities, what opportunities would come when I was able to go through the election process and when I took office later. From there, I made up my good intentions and determination to move forward.” Syifa
For her, BEM Fikom is a home for more than 200 of its administrators, and also a place for its constituents, namely Kema Fikom. With the #MulaiDariRumah tagline brought by Syifa to her management, she believes that home is the first place where we can start carving dreams. Syifa hopes that BEM Fikom can become a comfortable place to study and can meet the needs of Kema Fikom.
Finally, he hopes that his role in serving as Chair of BEM Fikom this year can become a reference for the next management, which can provide a legacy that can be continued by the next management. Syifa also hopes that all the management of BEM Fikom this year can become great and inspiring people in the following years after completing their management at BEM Fikom 2023.
