After almost three years of being held online, the Department of Internal Relations Student Public Relations, Faculty of Communication, Universitas Padjadjaran is again holding the “MAKAROON” 2022 Familiarity Night offline in Lembang, 19-20 November. This event was successfully attended by 195 active students. Not only that, this event was also attended by as many as 46 alumni from various generations. From 2012 to 2018, all of them joined in celebrating the Maroon Familiarity Night.
“Hopefully holding makrab offline can reunite alumni and students as well as familiarize them through the events held,” said Hafizhah Zuhri as Head of the Internal Relations Department of the Hima Humas Fikom Unpad.

MAKAROON is an acronym for Malam Keakraban Maroon (Maroon Familiarity Night). In 2022, it carries the tagline “Uncovering the Solidarity”, which means that this event is expected to be the opening gate and strengthen solidarity between active PR students and alumni after three years of friendly PR evenings being held online.

MAKAROON 2022 carries a vintage theme that will build memories of togetherness wrapped in memories of the past. Various interesting activities such as games and special performances from class of 2022 and Pom Pom Boys enlivened this event.

Chairperson of the Hima Humas Fikom Unpad, Alifia Sabila Putri hopes that this Familiarity Night event can become a place to get to know each other from various generations of the Public Relations Study Programme Fikom Unpad and strengthen the solidarity of the Public Relations Study Programme.
“Through the activities carried out at the MAKAROON 2022 event, it is hoped that it will unite active students Public Relations 2022 of each class and also alumni. Makrab is also a forum for the 2021 class who wish to submit themselves as candidates for Chair of Hima for the next period at the Kahim Prospective Candidates (BACAKAHIM) session ,” concluded Alifia.
