Jatinangor, December 14, 2024 — Innovation in Community Service (PkM) was once again presented by Retasari Dewi, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom, a lecturer in the Public Relations Study Program at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran, together with students as part of a series of OKK activities through the “Literaga 2.0: Health Literacy Through the Snake and Ladder Game,” which was held at SDN Jatinangor Elementary School in Sumedang Regency.

The utilization of creative learning methodologies, such as the snake and ladder game, is a pedagogical approach employed to facilitate the comprehension of elementary school children regarding the significance of maintaining clean and healthy living habits. This interactive and engaging instructional strategy is designed to promote the development of positive health behaviors among young learners. The objective of this program is to cultivate early awareness of healthy living behaviors, while concurrently addressing the challenge of low health literacy among elementary school students.

The Literaga 2.0 activity is consistent with Universitas Padjadjaran’s dedication to promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those pertaining to Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3) and Quality Education (SDG 4). By directly engaging students, this program not only reinforces the role of academics in community empowerment but also functions as a practical learning environment where students can apply their communication skills in a social context.
Consequently, Unpad remains committed to fostering a healthy, empowered, and knowledgeable community through collaboration between faculty, students, and the surrounding community.
