Training on Optimizing the Use of Social Media to Form a Product Brand for the Tasikmalaya Embroidery MSME Industry

The Covid-19 pandemic has sunk the country’s economy and society. This directly lowers the economic level of society and the state. This needs to be addressed by increasing the creativity of the community, especially among small and medium industries, because according to some economists, small and medium entrepreneurs are industries that save the country’s economic life. The Office of Cooperatives and SMEs so far has only developed market potential without developing product brands, whereas to survive in the midst of competition for similar products from within and outside the country it is necessary to establish a product brand to show product positioning and show product potential in the eyes of buyers. The introductory training method to digital branding strategies with an approach to optimizing the use of social media was used in the MSME Embroidery training in Tasikmalaya City. This training is to introduce the concept of strategy on the use of social media among craftsmen. The results of the training show that the use of social media, which is only for sales, can be increased by optimizing its use for branding embroidered products, not just as a tool for product promotion.
