Obstacles in institutional service to the academic public at SLB Negeri A Bandung City

State Extraordinary School A (SLBN A) Bandung City, is a special educational institution for students with visual impairments. There are many academic publics who carry out various activities at this institution, including: research, community service and PPL, street vendors, and PPG programs. The high quality of the activities carried out by the academic public raises its own challenges faced by the school. Therefore this study seeks to map the obstacles faced in academic public services by SLBN A Bandung City. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with the type of case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, observation and literature studies. The key informants were selected using a purposive technique. The results show that the obstacles faced in communication in academic public services consist of: time management constraints; Procurement and dissemination of materials; Coordinating; Situation Conditioning. Therefore, it is hoped that the institution can start making technical service guidelines in the form of guidelines for recognizing the blind that can be studied by the academic public before starting their activities within the institution. In addition, it is also necessary to formulate a code of conduct for activities within SLBN A in Bandung City, as a guide that can be used as a benchmark by the academic public in carrying out their activities so as not to create new problems.
