The Department of External Relations in the Social and Community Sector, Hima Humas, Faculty of Communication, University of Padjadjaran held a blood donation event at the KSR PMI Unpad Blood Donation Activity on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
By utilizing digital platforms, information about the blood donation edition of Maroon Beraksi was disseminated in order to reach the desired target audience. This blood donation action can only be participated in by students who are active in public relations. With this event, it is hoped that public relations students can make a real contribution actively in meeting the needs of blood for people in need. Apart from saving many lives, blood donation can also provide many benefits for students’ health, including improving heart health, reducing the risk of cancer, and helping to improve health and fitness.

Before the blood donation event started, the public relations students gathered at Bangtek Fikom to go together to KDD KSR PMI Unpad. This series begins with a health screening process to determine whether a person can donate blood or not. If declared to have passed the screening process, the person will be directed directly to the blood donor site. When the screening process took place, many active public relations students did not qualify because they did not meet the donor criteria. Of the 30 students who registered, only 6 students successfully donated their blood, one of them is Hanna Aliya Khairunnisa, active student of public relations class of 2021.

All this time, Aliya feels that her life is only to pursue her own happiness. As a social being, she feels he has not played much role. After learning information about Maroon in Action via Instagram @himahumas, she was also interested in participating in blood donation. Initially, she did not expect anything from blood donation activities because she felt that this was like blood donation activities in general. However, after she finished donating blood and seeing that she had collected quite a lot of blood bags, he felt grateful because the results of her blood donation were really needed by someone out there.
