POLITICAL COMMUNICATION STRATEGY OF WOMEN LEGISLATIVE MEMBERS AT THE COMMISSION LEVEL OF THE ACEH PEOPLE’S REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL

This study aims to describe the communication strategy used by women legislators in the commission. The presence of female legislators with a small number (12 people) out of 81 seats makes women legislators who sit on commissions uneven in the DPRA’s Complementary Organs, making women legislators unable to take part in much of the commission, especially coupled with the absence of women legislators in in commissions related to women and children in commission F (Health and Welfare). This research uses symbolic interaction theory. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, this study intends to describe the political communication strategy of women legislators in the Aceh parliament at the commission level. women legislators in carrying out their communication strategy adjust to the vision of their faction and electoral district, they have their own communication strategy in building good communication with fellow commission members and also with other commission members, they are able to communicate well with other legislators as well as with their constituents. So that the political communication that occurs in the commission is communicative, dialogic, communication takes place in a semi-formal manner, strong lobbying and negotiation, coordination goes well, the communication competence of female legislators is good, active in giving arguments, communication that occurs dynamically and humanely, personally between members the dean’s commission but professionally they carry the banner of their respective parties, the communication patterns that occur within the commission are interpersonal, group and organizational communication.
